After reading an article in “Cosmo” about how to cure medium to low self-esteem, Kitty decides to throw a party for herself. At the party, Bob gets upset when he sees Midge flirting with Hyde’s father, W.B. They argue and an upset Midge winds up locking herself in Red and Kitty’s bathroom. Kitty’s angry that she’s been upstaged at her own party. After hashing things out with Bob in Red and Kitty’s shower, Midge flies back to California the next morning.

The gang points out to Hyde that he’s becoming too corporate. They tease him even more when he chooses to hang out with his father at Kitty’s party rather than partaking in the trenching. When he realizes that he spent the night at a cocktail party while Eric would up in jail, he’s determined to break some laws. The next morning, he winds up in jail with Kelso after “properly trenching” Old Man Shinsky’s lawn.
