Donna rigs a contest at the radio station and scores six tickets
to the Packers game for the gang. Jackie hides her concern about
going with Hyde now that they're broken up. Eric realizes he needs
one ticket for Red because Red's a huge Packers fan who's never
been to a game, which means they're one ticket short. Hyde says
it's not a problem -- he, Kelso and Fez will just do the ticket
stub switch. Eric asks Red to the game, and Red tears up, speechless.
At the game, Red couldn't be prouder, tells everyone who'll listen
that his son got him these tickets. Hyde starts his plan by making
Fez wait outside. Donna is worried that Jackie will ruin the game
by being sad the whole time, but Jackie says she's past the sad
stage and now just wants to make someone pay. Inside, Red is unusually
happy, gives Eric money to go buy himself a jersey. Hyde tells Kelso
to take his ticket stub and go bring Fez in with it. Fez returns
without Kelso because they don't have enough tickets. Hyde explains
the math and sends Fez off again. Jackie tries to make Hyde jealous,
but nothing works. Donna tells her it's because she's not trying
hard enough, but Jackie reveals she doesn't really want to hurt
Hyde. Donna teases her about this. Eric returns with the crowd booing
at him -- he's wearing a Bears jersey. Red can't believe Eric would
do that; Eric explains he likes the underdog -- he's the underdog
in real life. Kelso returns without Fez, thinking this is a burn.
Hyde explains they're really trying to all watch the game, and Kelso
goes off again. Jackie storms up to Hyde and tells him she doesn't
have feelings for him and is in fact happy to be rid of him, then
storms off. Hyde, tired of Jackie ruining the game, goes off to
find her. He spots her upstairs crying, and sneaks off without her
seeing him. Back at the seats, Hyde tells Donna to go check on Jackie.
Fez returns, without Kelso, further confused. Hyde leaves with Fez
to fix everything. A crazy fan starts yelling at Eric, and Red tries
to diffuse things. Eric doesn't mind the ribbing, but then the fan
insults Red, and Eric starts fighting him. Red can't believe what
he's seeing! Eric and the fan get kicked out, and Red is extremely
proud.
At the Forman house, Bob comes over to watch the game with Kitty.
She excited to bet on the game with him, and goes into the kitchen
to make Bob a snack. When Bob sees Kitty on a stool reaching into
a cupboard, he thinks she's falling and reaches up to steady her,
putting both his hands on her rear for an uncomfortably long time.
They talk about this afterwards, and realize they can't tell Red
about it. When the Packers win, Bob and Kitty jump up and down excited
to have won their bets, and end up hugging. They realize they now
have two secrets to keep from Red.
