Episode #719 “Who’s Been Sleeping Here?”

The gang plays password. Eric and Donna lose to Hyde and Jackie. Kelso announces that he can pick Betsy’s godparents, but that it can’t be Fez. Eric and Donna expect Kelso to ask them to be the godparents to his daughter, but Kelso asks Hyde and Jackie instead. Eric and Donna are shocked. Angie and Hyde discover that there has been a break in at the record store, but nothing was taken. Eric and Donna confide in Red and Kitty about not being chosen to be Kelso’s daughter’s godparents. Eric learns that he doesn’t have any godparents. Jackie comes in after shopping for matching outfits for her new goddaughter. Eric and Donna leave the room in protest. Kelso asks Red and Kitty if he can keep the baby in Laurie’s old room, since he can’t keep the baby at his place due to all his brother’s dogs. Hyde and Angie’s record store is broken into again, but whoever it is, doesn’t take anything, they just leave the store messy with pizza boxes, etc. Angie says she’s calling the cops. Hyde says that’s not a good idea. Angie accuses Hyde of doing it. Kelso tries to sneak a crib upstairs into Laurie’s room so Red will have a harder time saying no to the baby. Red catches Kelso and makes him move it. Angie announces they were broken into again, and she says that she installed a security camera and has a video of what occurred. Red, Kitty, Hyde and Angie watch the video when Fez enters. They learn that Fez has been breaking into the record store because his host parents kicked him out. When asked how Hyde could have missed knowing this about Fez, there is a flashback of Fez giving Hyde signs indicating him being kicked out. Eric and Donna try to figure out why they weren’t chosen as parents and get into a big argument, but resolve their hostility. Kelso learns that Fez was kicked out by his host parents. Kelso needs a place for the baby and Fez got kicked out. Kitty indirectly suggests that they Kelso and Fez become roommates, but it’s lost on the gang and Kelso and Fez discover for themselves that they should be roommates. Eric and Donna confront Kelso about why they weren’t chosen to be the godparents. Kelso says that he picked Hyde and Jackie because he thought they would be together longer. Hyde and Jackie are honored again, and Donna and Kelso are disappointed and embarrassed again. Eric and Donna resolve that they shouldn’t get bent out of shape because of something Kelso says. Hyde wants to make Angie pay for accusing him of stealing from the store and tries to make her wear a rainbow afro, Angie counters with another tape of Hyde singing Sinatra tunes as he sweeps up the shop.
